The devotional this week was Elder L. Tom Perry. He talked about the importance of using the book of Mormon while teaching and it being the most correct book on Earth. He said that as missionaries we are the Savior's Agents, made me think of Mission: Impossible- Your mission, if you choose to accept it... Good to realize the specialness of our calling and how unique it is. Also said the BoM should be a part of our daily lives, like brushing your teeth, except for your soul. If you don't read it, then your soul will rot...haha.
Taught in Lithuanian Last night. It went really well. Hard to understand what the 'investigator' was saying. He seemed to have a totally different accent than either of my teachers.
We got a new room-mate, Elder Lippert, going to Greece. Oh, the Greek elders that were supposed to leave on Tuesday are still here because they didn't get their visas. If we don't get our visas after 90 days we are moved to Ireland. They used to send the missionaries to either Latvia or Estonia, but they recently legally removed the border between the three countries, so you have to go somewhere else.
Lithuanian is coming well, I've learned 5 of the 6 cases, and all of the endings for verbs. My favorite so far is the Imperative Mood, or Command Form.
Oh, It's kinda a joke to take the name badges of Elders from their suit coats that are hanging in the classroom, so I took a few, put some on the vents above their door, switched them on jackets, etc. One elder got a bit upset though, so I've decided to give up my shortlived prankster days, at least with nametags.
Played the piano in priesthood, almost had a train wreck on the opening hymn, hit completely wrong notes for about five measures and then just dropped out the left hand, putting it back in on the next verse. It was a good recovery, but close to a disaster.
Looked at pics from Lietuva and I'm way excited. It looks awesome.
They are renovating the seats in the gym, so it was closed for a bit, but it's open now. We've usually been going to the field because it's great to be outside. No more timed x or whatever you called it, mom, sorry.
Love,
Vyresnysis Conor Hilton
